Haptic Drift III | performance | TheaterLab, NYC | 2024

The third iteration of the acclaimed Haptic Drift intermedia series returns with an innovative fusion of movement, sound, and sculptural form.

Testu Collective presents a dynamic, action-based score—a graphic sculpture that comes alive through physical interaction. Eternal Oyster’s choreographed movements will activate this three-dimensional composition while musicians Matt Evans, MA, Testu Collective, and Eternal Oyster simultaneously interpret its evolving forms through experimental sound techniques, live voice, and amplified sound objects.

Drawing inspiration from Fluxus graphic and performance scores, Testu Collective embraces the movement’s commitment to open interpretation, allowing each performer to discover unique pathways through the work. This approach honors Fluxus’s revolutionary spirit of creative freedom and collaborative discovery.

Haptic Drift III promises an evening where sculpture becomes score, movement becomes music, and boundaries dissolve into pure creative expression.
